The 4th African Union MSME Forum will be hosted by the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and it would take place in Abuja, Nigeria from June 23–27, 2025. This year’s theme is “Building Resilient MSMEs through Digital Innovation, Market Access & Affordable Financing for Africa.
Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) creates more than 90% of jobs and unlock pathways to wealth and economic inclusion. As such, supporting MSME development is central to achieving the African Union’s goal of achieving a prosperous and self-reliant continent.
This important event is organized by the African Union Commission’s Department for Economic Development, Trade, Tourism, Industry, and Minerals (AUC-ETTIM) and hosted by the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The forum, themed “Building Resilient MSMEs through Digital Innovation, Market Access & Affordable Financing for Africa” will serve as an interactive platform where policymakers, investors, and stakeholders from across Africa will convene to address two critical areas: strengthening policies on MSME development and enhancing access to affordable finance on the continent.
This gathering will facilitate dialogue, knowledge sharing, and strategic partnerships to empower MSMEs to thrive in Africa.

- Evaluate progress made by Member States and partners in advancing MSMEs
- Facilitate knowledge exchange and identify practical, scalable solutions
- Drive coordinated action toward resilient, inclusive, and sustainable MSME ecosystems
