Africa Policy Research Institute is recruiting for a Home based Short-Term Research Consultant
Overview
APRI – Africa Policy Research Institute is an independent, non-partisan African policy institute researching key policy issues affecting the African continent. Its mandate is two-fold: to provide insights to European and global actors’ policy making processes that concern Africa – especially those that can affect Africa’s abilities to spur economic development and create jobs for the youngest continent; and to support African countries with analyses required to advance their development priorities in their interactions with foreign actors.
To do this, APRI taps into the expertise of African intellectuals, scholars, and networks, collaborating with a wide range of organizations at home and abroad to conduct policy research that looks beyond prevailing narratives and transcends disciplinary hegemonies to centre Africa. Its outputs include reports, policy briefs, commentaries, short analyses and a podcast, with the goal of expanding to other innovative ways of disseminating its work.
APRI seeks to engage a consultant for a short-term research consultancy under its Africa’s Geopolitics and Geoeconomics Program. The Program dives deep into the complexities of a multipolar world and Africa’s positioning within it, providing evidence-based analysis and policy innovation, and offering a platform for discussions, collaborations, and broader policy and practical engagements.
