Call for Applications: 2025 ICCCAD Youth Fellowship Programme
International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD) Youth Fellowship, an annual initiative under the Cap-Res project, is supported by the Embassy of Sweden in Dhaka. The ICCCAD Youth Fellowship Programme aims to build capacity in climate resilience among youth, particularly from regions outside the capital and diverse communities. In the year 2025, ICCCAD is thrilled to open its doors to 30 promising young climate leaders from around the country, with a high anticipation of over 500 applicants based on last year’s response.
Here’s what the Fellowship program offers:
In-Depth Capacity Building: ICCCAD provide an extensive series of learning sessions covering essential skills and knowledge on basic to advance climate sciences, policies and politics, proposal writing, project management, and on-ground action planning.
Hands-On Experience: Fellows will embark on a week-long, residential training program followed by field visits to climate-vulnerable hotspots across Bangladesh, where they will see firsthand the impacts of climate change and witness people’s adaptation techniques and resilience efforts.
Project Funding & Mentorship: Fellows have the chance to secure small grants to bring their climate project ideas to life. Alongside, they’ll receive ongoing guidance from national and international climate experts, ensuring impactful project execution.
National and Global Exposure: To recognize outstanding work, two most dedicated and active fellows will have the chance to attend UNFCCC conferences, gaining global exposure and connecting with thought leaders in climate action.
This program is a unique pathway for youth to become leaders in climate resilience, equipped with practical experience, strong networks, and real-world project exposure. It’s also a testament to ICCCAD’s dedication to inclusive, impactful climate action.
