Area of ​​activity

GIZ International Services (InS) is an integral division of GIZ. GIZ offers the experience, the regional and technical know-how of GIZ in the global market and provide international clients with expertise in terms of economic and result-oriented services. Your tasks

As an Intern in Recruiting and Human Resources at GIZ InS, you will gain insight into day-to-day operations from acquisition through to implementation of development projects in different world regions.

Your tasks as an intern in the International Services business unit, you will be part of the global HR/Recruiting team and contribute to the active search for technical experts for international project tenders. The Intern in Recruiting and Human Resources will support the Recruiting Managers closely at all stages of the search and selection process during bid preparation and will get to know the various areas of work at InS. This includes:

  • Drafting vacancy notices and actively sourcing international experts, assessing expert profiles, direct communication with potential candidates, organizing and participating in interviews in various languages
  • Preparing documents for bid submissions
  • Close collaboration and continuous exchange with project management in international acquisition teams In addition, you will support the maintenance and further development of our internal expert database.

Your profile

  • You are currently studying social sciences/political science/economics or another degree program relevant to international cooperation
  • Strong interest in development cooperation/international relations and in human resources
  • Longer stays abroad and/or initial work experience in development-related fields or in HR are an advantage
  • Fluent English is required; advanced French and/or Spanish is a strong asset
  • You learn new subject areas quickly and are characterized by reliability, motivation, commitment and strong team skills
  • You present yourself with confidence and communicate well, including in virtual formats
  • Good command of common MS Office applications
