Area of activity
The Business Development Division in the AGE Division supports GIZ in systematic business development. It focuses on trends and future-oriented topics, oriented towards the requirements of commissioning parties and partners. The division is responsible for the conception, management, and design of company-wide business development processes and participation procedures for political initiatives and strategies. It assesses business potential, examines and develops new and sustainable business and service modalities, new partnerships, and integrated approaches, develops new thematic priorities with business and innovation potential, and supports GIZ’s field structure in aligning its portfolio with future changes.
Your tasks
During your Business Development internship you will have the following tasks:
- Supporting project managers and flexible task teams in the initiation and implementation of business development projects (including support, research, preparation of project information, monitoring)
- Support in data collection, processing and analysis in cooperation with various units of the company in various formats
- Support in the preparation, presentation and communication of business development and projects in MS PowerPoint and MS Word as well as in intranet and internet
- Support in various thematic areas, for example cooperation with the business community, partnerships, multilateral actors, TZ-FZ integration
- Support in knowledge management and in anchoring the results of business development projects on our websites (Business Development Gateway/(IDA) as well as in the support, maintenance and further development of digital platforms for knowledge management
- Support with organizational and procedural issues
- Participation in department-wide meetings and company-wide information events
- Independent processing of sub-projects on the above-mentioned topics
Your profile
- Studies in political/social sciences, economics or a comparable course of study
- Initial consulting experience in international cooperation or experience abroad
- Initial experience in project management as well as planning and organizing face-to-face and virtual events
- Good strategic and very good analytical skills as well as a structured way of working
- Good communication skills and experience in communication and knowledge management, high linguistic competence for the preparation of information (including preparation of board-appropriate documents)
- Experience in using digital tools and platforms, as well as social media; very good application skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, etc.)
- High teamwork and cooperation skills, curiosity and desire for new things
- Fluent German and English skills, other language skills are an advantage
