GAYO is seeking passionate individuals to join its Youth Climate Council Global Alliance team in two exciting roles:

  • Communications Coordinator: Drive GAYO messaging and amplify youth voices in climate action across all regions.
  • Europe Regional Coordinator: Lead GAYO European initiatives and strengthen our regional presence across Europe.

The Green Africa Youth Organization (GAYO) is inviting passionate climate advocates and youth leadership champions to join its team in two exciting roles as part of the Youth Climate Council Global Alliance (YCCGA). GAYO is a youth-led and gender-balanced nonprofit that promotes environmental sustainability, climate change action, and community resilience across Africa. Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Ghana, GAYO works in collaboration with youth organizations, governments, and civil society to amplify youth voices and empower climate leadership.

About the Youth Climate Council Global Alliance (YCCGA)

The Youth Climate Council Global Alliance (YCCGA) is a global initiative dedicated to institutionalizing youth participation in climate policy-making. The Alliance connects youth climate councils across regions, works with local government offices and movements, and promotes capacity building so that young people can meaningfully influence climate governance processes.

By recruiting for its YCCGA team, GAYO is expanding opportunities for youth to lead strategic advocacy, coordinate regional activities, and elevate youth voices in climate policymaking worldwide.

Open Roles: Two Exciting Positions

1. YCCGA Europe Regional Coordinator

This pivotal role will act as the primary liaison between the Global Coordinator and regional stakeholders in Europe, ensuring smooth collaboration and communication among youth climate councils. As Europe Regional Coordinator, you will support regional activities, help coordinate policy engagement processes, and strengthen the region’s connections within the global youth climate network.

This position is ideal for candidates with experience or strong interest in:

  • Regional climate policy and advocacy
  • Youth empowerment
  • Network coordination and stakeholder engagement

2. YCCGA Communications Coordinator

This role focuses on designing and executing the communications strategy for the Youth Climate Council Global Alliance. The Communications Coordinator will manage digital platforms, produce engaging content, elevate the Alliance’s voice, and help tell the story of youth climate action around the world.

Ideal candidates will have skills or interest in:
