GIZ is Recruiting for a Communication and Event Management Intern for the AFRIKA KOMMT Project (€2,134.52 monthly salary)
Background
A better life for everyone and meaningful tasks for its employees – that is GIZ model for success. For more than 50 years, the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), as a German government company, has been supporting the global implementation of development policy goals. Together with partner organizations in 120 countries, German Society for International Cooperation is involved in a wide variety of projects. If you want to make a difference in the world and develop yourself in the process, you have come to the right place
Field of activity
GIZ is seeking a communication and event management intern for the project “AFRIKA KOMMT! – An initiative of the German economy for young leaders from Africa”
In 2008, 19 leading companies in Germany founded the AFRIKA KOMMT! initiative. The scholarship program brings young managers from Africa together with German companies. While the companies benefit from the expertise, knowledge and local networks of the young managers, the African scholarship holders get to know life and work in Germany for twelve months. Through their international experience and in-depth specialist and German knowledge, they become ‘change agents’ for Africa and Germany. As patron of the initiative, the Federal President welcomes the scholarship holders to the annual graduation ceremony at Bellevue Palace. The GIZ team is responsible – in close coordination with the partner companies – for the entire process for each year: from the application process to the virtual assessment center, accommodation procurement, onboarding of the scholarship holders to the organization of language courses, training and study trips.
