GIZ is Looking for Specialists in development services as Digital Ambassadors based in various locations
GIZ is looking for committed digital changemakers who want to contribute to overcoming the digital divide as development workers worldwide, for example in Vietnam, Rwanda, Jordan or Honduras.
About GIZ
A better life for everyone and meaningful tasks for its employees – that is GIZ model for success. For more than 50 years, the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), as a German government company, has been supporting the global implementation of development policy goals. Together with partner organizations in more than 130 countries, GIZ is involved in a wide variety of projects. If you want to make a difference in the world and develop yourself in the process, you have come to the right place.
Field of activity
Do you want to help reduce the digital divide in countries in the Global South and actively shape the digital transformation locally? Do you want to advise municipal multimedia centers or youth clubs in West Africa, improve climate data platforms in Latin America, advance digital administrative services for municipalities in Central Asia, support micro-enterprises in North Africa with digitization or make vocational training in South Asia more digital? Do you have experience in the field of digital transformation and have technical and methodological skills? Then you have come to the right place!
Under the motto “ promoting inclusive digital change ”, GIZ Digital Ambassador Initiative aims to give disadvantaged groups, municipalities and civil society organizations in partner countries better access to relevant digital technologies and their use. In this way, more people can benefit from the opportunities of digitalization. The initiative particularly promotes the use of the Internet in rural areas, digital skills ( digital literacy ) among women, girls and young people and digital support for democratic processes.
Digital Ambassadors are mediators between the digital world, digital ecosystems and local realities. With their work, they support the development of solutions to overcome the digital divide between urban and rural areas, rich and poor, and men and women.
