About GIZ
A better life for everyone and meaningful work for its employees – that’s GIZ recipe for success. For more than 50 years, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), a German government company, has supported the global implementation of development policy goals. Together with partner organizations in 120 countries, GIZ is involved in a wide variety of projects. If you want to make a difference in the world and develop yourself in the process, you’ve come to the right place.
Area of activity
The deployment takes place within the Global Project Education (Build4Skills) of the Health, Education, and Social Affairs group, which is part of the Sector and Global Projects division. Build4Skills is implemented on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and co-financed by the European Union.
The Build4Skills promotes, among other things, the integration of vocational training into infrastructure projects of multilateral development banks and operates in Pakistan, Senegal, Kenya, Mexico, and Colombia. Build4Skills’ partnership architecture connects development banks, governments, construction companies, and vocational training institutions to integrate skills development measures into infrastructure projects. The goal is to rapidly train young people and integrate them into the construction and infrastructure sector – with uniform safety and assessment standards.
