GIZ is hiring an Intern for monitoring & evaluation, knowledge management and general project support in the EU project (€2,205.04 monthly salary)
Overview
A better life for everyone and meaningful work for its employees – that’s GIZ model for success. For more than 50 years, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), a German Federal Government company, has been supporting the global implementation of development policy goals. Together with partner organizations in 120 countries, GIZ is involved in a wide variety of projects. If you want to make a difference in the world and develop yourself in the process, you’ve come to the right place
Area of activity
The Global Fund for Innovation in the Agriculture and Food Sector (i4Ag) of the Special Initiative on Transforming Agricultural and Food Systems (SI AGER) promotes gender-sensitive and user-centered innovations on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). Since June 2022, the i4Ag Fund has been implementing the large-scale EU/BMZ/Netherlands co-financed individual measure “Sustainable Agriculture for Forest Ecosystems” (SAFE). SAFE supports partner countries in implementing the new EU regulation on deforestation-free products to protect forests and indigenous forest communities.
Specifically, relevant actors in 10 selected partner countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America (Brazil, Burundi, Ecuador, Indonesia, Cameroon, DR Congo, Peru, Zambia, Vietnam, and Uganda) are supported in minimizing deforestation caused by the expansion of agricultural production through jointly developed measures. The project supports the development of partnerships at regional and global levels, in particular the implementation of the new Team Europe Initiative (TEI) on deforestation-free agricultural supply chains.
