About Introduction to Statistics & Data Science Course

The Introduction to Statistics & Data Science course is an introductory program for current STEM undergraduate and postgraduate students interested in learning more about statistics and data science. Students will learn essential skills in the following areas:

Descriptive and inferential statistics.
Interpretation of statistical results.
Data manipulation and visualization.
Communicating data-driven findings.
Using key tools and software for statistics (Microsoft Excel and R Studio).

Who Can Apply?

Applicants must meet the following criteria to apply:

Hold citizenship from a country in the Global South.
Be currently enrolled in or have recently completed an undergraduate or Master’s degree program.
Have an interest in statistics or statistical methods.
Be fluent in English and able to actively participate in discussions.
Have a strong and reliable internet connection for virtual meetings.
