Join Youth4Capacity’s Becoming Climate Journalists session, organized in collaboration with UNU-VIE and hear from journalists, photographers, and digital creators on climate storytelling across media platforms. This session explores the role of climate journalism in shaping public understanding, challenging misinformation, and amplifying stories from the frontlines of climate action. It examines how young people can translate complex climate issues into clear, compelling, and responsible storytelling across media platforms and multilateral climate spaces.

Objectives:
- Build foundational skills in climate journalism, including framing, storytelling, and audience engagement
- Strengthen participants’ ability to translate complex climate concepts into clear, accessible narratives
- Introduce ethical considerations and responsibility in climate reporting (misinformation, representation, accountability)
- Equip participants with practical tools for content creation across formats (articles, social media, multimedia)
- Enable participants to identify and develop their own climate story angles, grounded in local and lived contexts
