Exciting Funding Opportunities: Legacy Landscapes Fund Open Calls for Proposals for Initiatives advancing conservation
Funding Opportunities Overview
Legacy Landscapes Fund is excited to announce two new open calls for proposals:
- The “IP&LC call” dedicated to providing direct-access support to Indigenous Peoples and Local Community (IP&LC) organizations for area-based conservation.
- The “1:1:1 call” dedicated to funding national and international NGOs under a funding model where grant funds are provided in equal parts by public, philanthropic, and corporate donors.
As each call targets different kinds of organizations, has a different funding structure, and has unique application requirements, applicants should take special care to follow the specific instructions outlined in each call document.
IP&LC Open Call for Proposals
Legacy Landscapes Fund IP&LC Open Call for Proposals is dedicated to supporting Indigenous Peoples and Local Community (IP&LC) organizations engaged in area-based conservation. This initiative reflects Legacy Landscapes Fund (LLF)’s commitment to strengthen IP and LCs as rightsholders with agency, leadership, and their conservation practice. Legacy Landscapes Fund invites proposals from IP&LC-led organizations that are advancing conservation while upholding community rights and livelihoods.
Applicants should submit a concept note using the templates provided (available in several languages). Concept notes may be submitted in English, French, Spanish, or Portuguese via email to [email protected].
1:1:1 Open Call for Proposals
Legacy Landscapes Fund 1:1:1 Call for Proposals supports national and international NGOs engaged in area-based conservation through a new co-financing model. Under this approach, funding is provided in equal parts by the public sector, philanthropic donors, and corporate partners (1:1:1).
This model responds to the challenge of shrinking public funding for conservation by sharing the financial responsibility across sectors. It aims to create more resilient partnerships and unlock long-term impact through diversified support. Legacy Landscapes Fund invites proposals from NGOs ready to lead high-impact conservation efforts within this collaborative framework.
Applicants should submit their concept note in English, using the templates provided below, via email to [email protected].
If you have questions regarding these calls for proposals, please contact LLF via email at [email protected] or register for a Q&A session detailed in the call documents below. Once available, answers to questions of general interest will be posted in the frequently asked question (FAQ) section linked under each call on this page. These will be updated regularly.
