COP30 financial support – United for Global Mental Health

United for Global Mental Health is pleased to be able to support 1 person financially to attend COP30 in Belem, Brazil.

United for Global Mental Health is able to offer COP30 financial support with accomodation, travel, and subsistence for a maximum of 3,000£. United for Global Mental Health will support the person themselves to book travel and accomodation (e.g., via the COP30 official accomodation platform and via its internal travel platform).

To be eligible to apply, you must:

Be from or residing in a low- and middle-income country (see list here: https://wellcome.org/research-funding/guidance/prepare-to-apply/low-and-middle-income-countries)
Have expertise in climate and mental health and/or would feel confident discussing climate and mental health topics at COP30 (e.g., on a side event)
Already have or have received assurance of receiving a pass to enter the Blue Zone at COP30
Be available to do some communications work while at COP30 (e.g., a piece to camera or a short blog for United for Global Mental Health)
Be able to navigate COP spaces independently (we do not have internal capacity to provide this type of support)
Be available for coordination meetings with United for Global Mental Health (e.g., once every 2 weeks) in the lead-up to COP30

United for Global Mental Health aims on notifying the successful candidate by the 3rd of October.
