The Africa Hydrogen Fellowship (AHF) is designed to bridge the knowledge gap, equip African youth with specialized hydrogen expertise, and cultivate the next generation of African hydrogen leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs

AHF Objectives and Structure

The AHF is designed to:

  • Develop technical expertise in hydrogen production, storage, and applications.
  • Equip participants with policy knowledge to support hydrogen development across Africa.
  • Foster innovation and entrepreneurship in hydrogen-based solutions.
  • Build a collaborative network of hydrogen professionals, researchers, and industry stakeholders.
  • Promote real-world application of hydrogen technologies through research and project development.

Call for Volunteers – African Hydrogen Fellowship

The African Hydrogen Fellowship is inviting committed and skilled volunteers to support the delivery of its programmes across research, operations, communications, and fundraising. This is an opportunity to contribute to Africa’s clean energy transition while gaining valuable experience in a high-impact initiative.

The Call for Volunteers is for the following roles:

  • Programme Officer (Fellowship coordination and delivery)
  • Technical Lead (Hydrogen curriculum & policy expert)
  • Technical Assistant (Supports hydrogen curriculum & policy development)
  • Fundraising Lead (Donor and industry engagement)
  • Fundraising Assistant (Supports donor and industry engagement)
  • Communications Lead (Branding, marketing, alumni engagement)
  • Communications Assistant (Supports branding, marketing, alumni engagement)
  • Operations & Finance Lead (Administrative delivery and reporting)
  • Operations & Finance Officer (Supports administrative delivery and reporting)
