Overview
Tsinghua University is inviting outstanding young professionals and emerging leaders worldwide to apply for TGYD 2026, themed “Bridging the Divides | 破界同行”- a 14-day program designed to foster understanding and collaboration through firsthand travel in China.
Participants will visit leading smart manufacturing facilities and tech incubators in the digital economy and AI, and join thematic exchanges on global governance, sustainability, and technology!
Applications Now Open for Global Youth Leaders
This is a structured, 14-day practice-based dialogue program designed to foster understanding and collaboration through firsthand experience in China.

📍 Locations: Hangzhou · Shanghai · Beijing, China
🔍 Program Highlights & Site Visits: Hangzhou Chapter – “Smart China”
Participants will:
• Engage with pioneers in the digital economy and AI innovation.
• Visit leading smart manufacturing facilities and tech incubators.
• Experience how tradition meets technology in this historic city.
Shanghai Chapter – “Open China”
• Gain insights into global finance and innovation in the Lujiazui district.
• Explore world-class port operations and connectivity.
• Immerse in the vibrant youth and startup culture of a global metropolis.
Beijing Chapter – “Cultural China”
• Participate in campus-based dialogues at Tsinghua University.
• Join thematic exchanges on global governance, sustainability, and technology.
• Reflect on historical and contemporary narratives at cultural institutions.

Eligibility:
• Youth aged 18–35
