The Call for World Water Council Youth Delegate Program (2026–2028 Cohort) is now open for applications. The World Water Council (WWC) invites passionate young leaders to apply for the next cohort of Youth Delegate Program (2026–2028)!
As part of its mission to promote inclusive water governance, the WWC Youth Delegate Program empowers young voices to actively shape discussions, initiatives, and global policies around water sustainability. The upcoming cohort will play a key role in the 11th World Water Forum, to be held in Riyadh in 2027.
Overview
The WWC Youth Delegate Program empowers young leaders to engage in global water governance and contribute to the 11th World Water Forum. Youth Delegates will observe and contribute to WWC meetings, represent youth perspectives at the 11th World Water Forum (Riyadh, 2027), and collaborate on youth-led initiatives with the WWC Young Mission. They’ll engage regional youth networks to promote inclusivity and support communication efforts to strengthen youth voices in the WWC community.
Eligible applicants must be 18–35 years old, represent an organization linked to youth and water, reside in their represented region, and have strong English and communication skills. They should understand WWC’s mission, have experience in water governance or youth advocacy, and commit to a three-year mandate (2026–2028).This is an unpaid position, but all travel costs (If, and when) will be covered by the World Water Council.
What Youth Delegates Do:
- Participate as observers in WWC meetings and contribute to thematic discussions.
- Represent youth perspectives throughout the lead-up to the World Water Forum.
- Collaborate with the WWC Young Mission to design and implement youth-led campaigns and activities.
- Engage regional youth networks to promote inclusivity and cross-regional collaboration.
Eligibility
- Aged 18–35 years at the time of application.
- Affiliated with an international organization, network, or initiative focused on youth and water issues.
- Strong English communication skills and familiarity with the WWC’s mission.
- Proven commitment to water governance, sustainable development, or youth advocacy.
- Ability to commit to the three-year mandate (2026–2028).
