Calling all innovators! Showcase your solutions to climate change at the IEEE CleanTech Solutions Grand Challenge.
The IEEE CleanTech Grand Challenge aims to identify and support innovative solutions to climate change by providing a global platform for individuals and teams to showcase their ideas. This initiative fosters technological advancements in sustainability and offers participants mentorship, exposure, and networking opportunities.
CleanTech Solutions is a pitch competition organized in collaboration with IEEE Entrepreneurship, Young Professionals and Student Activities. The challenge culminates at Tech Summit 2025: CleanTech Solutions, held in Glasgow, Scotland, on October 2-3, 2025, where the finalists will compete for recognition and awards.
How to Apply
Participants can apply under two distinct tracks, depending on the stage of their innovation:
Start-up Track
For investor-ready teams with a viable CleanTech product or service.
- Pitches must demonstrate:
- Market readiness – A clear business model and scalability potential.
- Investment potential – A roadmap for funding and business growth.
- Technical feasibility– Evidence of product development and implementation.
Ideation Track
For early-stage teams in the conceptual or prototype phase.
- Pitches should focus on:
- Innovation and creativity – Novel approaches to CleanTech challenges.
- Potential impact – The long-term sustainability benefits.
- Development roadmap – Next steps for transforming the idea into reality.
Both categories follow the same competition timeline but will be judged separately to ensure fairness
