Course Description

The Pan-African PGS Education and Research Initiative (PAPERI) and the Sustainable Sciences Institute (SSI) are pleased to invite applications for a four-day intensive Scientific Writing Workshop. This program is designed to help researchers, students, and professionals in STEM and health sciences develop their manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals. Through interactive lectures, practical exercises, and one-on-one mentoring, participants will:

Learn to organize and structure a scientific manuscript
Improve clarity, style, and impact of writing
Prepare figures, results, and discussion sections effectively
Navigate the peer-review and publication process
Apply ethical principles in scientific publishing

Target Audience

Applicants must:

Be a graduate student, early-career researcher, postdoctoral fellow, or professional in STEM
or health sciences.
Have existing research data and/or a draft manuscript they wish to prepare for publication.
Commit to attending all four days of the workshop in full.
Have access to a reliable internet connection for interactive sessions.
Be willing to engage in peer feedback and one-on-one mentoring.
