Applications are now open for the 2026 AIMS SDG Innovation Challenge! With the support of the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) is looking for bold, youth-led healthcare innovations that advance the Sustainable Development Goals across Africa.

Call for Applications – SDGs Innovation Challenge 2026
Building on the lessons learned from the 2025 edition, with the support of the William & Flora Hewlett Foundation, the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) is pleased to launch the 2026 AIMS SDG Innovation Challenge. This competition seeks to identify, support, and amplify youth-led innovative solutions that address pressing healthcare challenges across Africa, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
AIMS invites passionate, creative, and impact-driven STEM graduates under the age of 35, specially women innovators to apply. Selected young Africans will be awarded the Innovation Fellowship Award to develop their solutions that advance healthcare outcomes and strengthen health systems across the continent.
Each winner will receive a package of benefits, including the opportunity to join the AIMS Rwanda Innovation Program and receive financial, training, and mentorship support to further develop their solution.
