Care About Climate is excited to share that the applications for becoming NDC Youth Ambassador for its NDC Equity Tracker are now open!

NDC Project Application 2025

Care About Climate is a non-profit organization that is breaking barriers and building pathways for young people to engage in climate policy spaces.  As part of the Paris Agreement, which is a global agreement among countries to mitigate, adapt to, and finance action on climate change, countries are required to submit Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). These contributions document what countries are committing to doing to tackle climate change. While many organizations review countries’ NDCs, few are analyzed through a youth and feminist perspective.

Currently, Care About Climate is seeking to bridge this gap by analyzing NDCs through an intergenerational and gender lens. However, Care About Climate can’t do this alone. This is where YOU(th) come in! Care About Climate is seeking applicants to serve as NDC Ambassadors.

As an NDC Youth Ambassador, you will be required to commit to analyzing your country’s NDC over the course of one month. To support you, Care About Climate will be offering a $100 stipend and training on how to review your country’s NDC through a gender/intergenerational lens.

Care About Climate is currently seeking applicants from the following countries:

  • Cuba
  • Maldives
  • Montenegro
  • Japan
  • Canada
  • Marshall Islands
  • Singapore
  • Zimbabwe
  • Saint Lucia
  • Ecuador
  • Lesotho
  • Andorra
  • New Zealand
  • United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Island
  • Switzerland
  • Uruguay
  • Botswana
  • Unites States of America
  • Brazil
  • United Arab Emirates

Please note that you must be from and/or living in the selected country to be an ambassador for that country. This program will run from April 15th through June 30th. All applications must be able to commit to attending training sessions and completing their analysis by the deadline. If any questions, reach out to: [email protected]. While some background in climate action and understanding of climate politics is helpful, it is NOT required for you to participate in this program.
