University of New South Wales (UNSW) offers a wide range of scholarships and awards to support international undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students commencing full-time study at UNSW. Some scholarships will provide a full or partial tuition fee payment, while others provide a stipend to assist with the costs associated with your studies.
Scholarships & Awards that require an Application
By submitting an application for the UNSW Scholarships for International Students Commencing Term 3, 2025 (PUCA1029) you may be considered for the scholarships listed in the below table. More scholarships may be progressively added to this list.
To apply for PUCA1029, please register an account in the Scholarship Application Online portal, or if you have already created an account, log in and submit your application.

Lily and Dr Ben KC Chng Scholarship (UGCE1129) | $5,000 per annum for the minimum duration of program | Be commencing full-time study in a UNSW School of Built Environment undergraduate coursework degree program in Term 3, 2025, and; Be an international student, who is a citizen of Singapore at the time of application, and; Hold a diploma or equivalent course of at least 2 years credit from one of the following institutions: Nanyang Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic, Temasek Polytechnic, Republic Polytechnic. |
UNSW Law & Justice International Award (PUCA1028) | $10,000 paid directly towards tuition fees for 1 year, and; | Be commencing full-time study in a UNSW Law and Justice undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree program (LLB, JD or LLM programs) in Term 3, 2025. |
UNSW Business School International Pathways Award (PUCA1023) | $15,000 paid directly towards tuition fees for 1 year | Be commencing full-time study in a UNSW Business School undergraduate coursework degree program (excluding any program offered by AGSM) in Term 3, 2025, and; Not have previously undertaken any other tertiary studies prior to commencing study at UNSW (undergraduate applicants), and; Must have undertaken an undergraduate articulation pathway qualification from an approved partner institution prior to commencing study at UNSW; OR Completed the UNSW Foundation Studies Commerce or Commerce Actuarial stream prior to commencing study at UNSW. |
UNSW Business School International Scholarship (PUCA1024) | $5,000 paid directly towards tuition fees for the minimum duration of program. | Be commencing in an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree program offered by UNSW Business School in Term 3, 2025. Undergraduate applicants must have completed an assessable Senior Secondary School qualification immediately prior to commencing study at UNSW and not have undertaken prior tertiary study, and;Not be in receipt of the UNSW Business School International Pathways Award (PUCA1023). |
Additional Eligibility Criteria
- Must be an international student; and
- Have received an offer of admission* into an eligible program for Term 3 2025 by 15 July 2025.
- Undergraduate or postgraduate Letter of Offer (unconditional).
- Undergraduate or postgraduate Conditional English Package Offer (UEEC) – students must be enrolled in the UNSW Institute of Languages and successfully complete the program prior to commencing in Term 3 2025.
Selection Criteria
Applicants will be assessed on the basis of:
- Academic merit
- Leadership skills (school, workplace or community)
- Extra-curricular activities (sporting, cultural activities, volunteer/work experience)
- Reasons for undertaking studies at UNSW
Scholarships & Awards that do not require an Application
Eligible students who have received an offer of admission to UNSW will be automatically considered for the scholarships and awards listed in the table below. You do not need to submit any specific scholarship application or additional supporting documentation to be considered.
The scholarships and awards listed below will be automatically offered to eligible students on the basis of academic merits highlighted in the application for admission to UNSW.

UNSW College Award (PUCA1027) | Offer: $10,000 for 1 year.Payment will be made towards tuition fees in the student’s second term of the first year of study | Must be completing a UNSW Global Foundation Studies program (in Sydney or off-shore) Be an international student commencing full-time study on campus in a UNSW undergraduate coursework program (excluding UNSW Canberra) in Term 3, 2025. |
UNSW Masters of Laws Scholarship (PUCA1027) | $20,000 for 1 year.Payment will be made towards tuition fees | Have undertaken an undergraduate qualification from a member school of the Law School Global League or an approved UNSW partner institution; and Be a commencing international student studying full-time study in the UNSW Master of Laws program offered by the Faculty of Law and Justice. |
UNSW Articulation Scholarships (UGCA1815, UGCA1816, UGCA1817, UGCA1818, UGCA1822, UGCA1824) | $5,000 p.a. paid as a stipend for minimum duration of program | Must have undertaken an undergraduate articulation pathway qualification from one of the following approved partner institutions:Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TI) Christ University (CU) Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) SVKM’s NMIIMS University UPES University (UPES) Be an international student commencing full-time study in a UNSW undergraduate coursework program offered by the Faculty of Engineering in Term 3, 2025. |
