Once you’ve received an offer to study at UAL, the ‘my funding’ page on your applicant portal will be updated from mid-January 2025 onwards to include application forms for scholarships you may be eligible for.

If you submit a scholarship application, the university will email you by the following dates to let you know if you have been successful:

September/October 2025Sunday 22 June 2025 (Round 2)31 July 2025

These deadlines align with the postgraduate application rounds, and you are expected to apply within the same round as your offer is made. Applications can be submitted until 11:59pm (UK time) on the dates above. Late applications and incomplete submissions from students who have not yet received a course offer will not be eligible for consideration. Please also note if your scholarship application in Round 1 is unsuccessful, it will not be possible to apply again in Round 2.

Receiving payment

  • If your application is successful you will be sent an award letter via email and if you want to accept the scholarship you will be required to accept on your UAL Portal.
  • Your tuition fees will be raised directly to your fees account in the first year of your course.
  • For those studying part-time or extended full time courses where your scholarship award may be more than your Year 1 course fee, the surplus will be used towards your Year 2 fees.

Additional information

  • Scholarships are awarded by a UAL selection panel, who make their decision based on the evidence provided in your application.
  • If you have successful applications for more than 1 UAL award or scholarship, you must choose which of them you would like to receive, as you are only able to hold 1 at a time.
  • Please note that if you would like to be considered for both the UAL International Postgraduate £14,000 Scholarship and the UAL International Postgraduate £7,000 Scholarship, you will need to submit separate applications for each scheme.
