Background
The Fifth Global Conference on Strengthening Synergies between the Paris Agreement on Climate Change and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, co-convened by UNDESA and UNFCCC, will take place on September 5 and 6, 2024, at the Museum of Tomorrow (Museu do Amanhã) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The Fifth Global Conference will bring together world leaders and experts to discuss climate and Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) synergies, showcase evidence and case studies, and highlight equitable transition pathways. It aims to facilitate new partnerships, promote inclusive public participation, particularly from Latin America and the Caribbean, and offer capacity-building opportunities to enhance understanding and action on climate and SDG issues.
Participation
Participation is free of charge. However, visa, travel and accommodation costs and arrangements will be the sole responsibility of the participants. If you need visa to enter Brazil, please plan well ahead of time in applying.
