Background
The International Education Funders’ Group (IEFG) is the largest global network of philanthropic actors funding education in low- and middle-income countries. IEFG supports its 100+ current members to learn from the latest evidence and from each other and to make strategic connections to advance their education grantmaking. IEFG enable collaboration to drive the amplified impact of education philanthropy on education outcomes.
This year a group of members have begun to meet regularly to discuss their work in the context of the climate crisis, supported by the IEFG Secretariat. This group aims to understand how the climate crisis
affects education, and how education can support the response to the climate crisis, with a view to identifying complementarities and gaps in their work, step into those gaps together, and influence the
education (philanthropy) sector to do more and better within this context.
You will work within the small IEFG team, currently spread out across five countries, and will report directly to the Senior Lead, Philanthropic Coalitions, but you will also work closely with other Secretaria staff. IEFG has an excellent team working culture and work flexible hours to ensure a healthy work-life balance, appreciating the different time zones. IEFG is currently housed at Global Dialogue, a UK registered charity.
