Overview
EYEF is the flagship event of the European Youth Energy Network – EYEN, with the mission to create a platform for young people to voice their opinions and collaborate with energy stakeholders towards achieving better youth engagement in the European energy transition.
This year, EYEN is excited to announce its collaboration with the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), as agenda co-host, as EYEF is becoming a IRENA Regional Youth Forum!

This is your chance to make your voice heard on the theme ‘From Potential to Skills: Shaping Young Professionals for the Energy Transition’. Join and follow EYEN’s flagship event, the fourth and biggest yet European Youth Energy Forum (EYEF), taking place in October 2025 in Italy!
What is EYEF?
The European Youth Energy Forum is the flagship event of the European Youth Energy Network (EYEN), with the mission to create a platform for young people to voice their opinions and collaborate with energy stakeholders towards achieving better youth engagement in the European energy transition. EYEN is seeking 100 enthusiastic individuals, aged 18 to 35, from across Europe and the Mediterranean region to apply as forum participants. They will be selected to collaborate on the theme From Potential to Skills: Shaping Young Professionals for the Energy Transition, through ten weekly online sessions, culminating in a 5-day live event in Italy (travel and accommodation covered!). EYEF aims to stimulate and amplify the ideas and visions of young people in the energy sector.
How?
Following the success of previous editions, this year, 100 enthusiastic youths will be selected to collaborate on policy proposals to equip young professionals and students with the skills required to accelerate a just energy transition. The event will include keynotes, discussion panels with experts from academia, industry and the public sector, as well as policy proposal working sessions and engaging workshops for participants.
When?
Applications are now open! The online workshop sessions will take place between June and September, leading up to the live event in October 2025.
