- have knowledge of or affinity with New Zealand/the Pacific
Overview
Are you a young graduate interested in international relations? Are you curious to learn more about work of a diplomatic mission and how the EU Delegation represents EU interests and values in New Zealand?
EU is offering Traineeships of up to 6 months within the following sections of the EU Delegation to New Zealand, starting in May and November 2025. The EU Delegation to New Zealand is a small, nimble and flexible Delegation. If you are open to new experiences and want to gain exposure across an entire EU Delegation then apply to intern at EU Delegation to New Zealand.
Main tasks:
- Research in politics, trade & other areas
- Support to political section in drafting & reporting
- Support to trade and economic section in drafting & reporting
- Press & information tasks, especially social media content production
- Event organisation
Qualifications or special requirements:
- Recent graduates
- Knowledge about the European Union or New Zealand, especially political systems and/or trade policy and/or climate action.
- Experience in social media production and management
- Experience in event management
- Ability to work independently and as a team
