Ashinaga is looking for mission-driven university/graduate students for its Spring 2026 Internship Program. Interns will support the Ashinaga Africa Initiative (AAI) and its Japan-based student programs, working to provide educational access to orphaned students worldwide. Join a global cohort of interns across Marketing, Recruitment, and Student Relations, and more.
The 2026 Ashinaga Internship Program is open for Proactive students passionate about education and empowering young people. The internship is remote for overseas interns, or Tokyo (Hybrid) for Japan-based interns and will begin from May 11 – July 31, 2026
Overview
Join Ashinaga Foundation – a Japanese non-profit organization providing financial support and
emotional care to young people around the world who have lost either one or both parents, or whose
parents have a disability that prevents them from working sufficiently.
Intern with Ashinaga Foundation to gain hands-on experience in the non-profit field, develop international connections, and build essential career skills. This program is open to university students, graduate students, and recent graduates from all over the world.

Explore in-person & hybrid intern positions in Tokyo
Interns who live in the Tokyo Metropolitan area can choose to work in-person at its headquarters in Chiyoda, remotely, or a mix of both (hybrid).
If you don’t live in Tokyo you can explore its remote opportunities.
Interns who are based overseas or live outside of the Tokyo Metropolitan area can intern with Ashinaga Foundation remotely. Those who are not based in Tokyo Japan (i.e. residing overseas, or in Japan but outside of the Tokyo Metropolitan Area) may apply for its remote positions and complete the internship
program from their country/area of residence.
Kindly note that Ashinaga Foundation does not provide flights, accommodation or visa support for the internship program. If you do not have plans to be in Tokyo for the duration of the program, please apply for a remote
position.
Upcoming Intake is for Spring / Summer 2026. Depending on team needs and intern performance, interns may be offered an extension from August – September 2026, subject to mutual agreement.
