Applications are now open for the 2026 Resilience Fellowship for East Africa’s Young Changemakers (KES 40,000 stipend awarded)!

Calling East Africa’s Young Changemakers!

We’re facing a climate and mental health crisis. Burnout, fear about the future, and hopelessness are all too common for our
generation.

The Resilience Project was set up by young people, for young people to learn practical approaches to navigating the climate
emergency and unlock our collective resilience. The 2026 Resilience Fellowship is an opportunity for young leaders in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda or Tanzania to becomecatalysts and facilitators for community resilience.

Designed by youth, for youth, The Resilience Fellowship will bring together 24 young people from across East Africa who are driving climate action in their communities. Together, they’ll learn how to deepen their activism, connect with like-minded peers, and co-lead real change in their communities.

So, if you’re a young person based in East Africa and engaged in climate action… The Resilience Project want to hear from you!

About the Fellowship

The Resilience Project is inviting you to apply for its human-centred Fellowship – a space to deepen your activism, connect with like-minded peers and co-lead real change in your community. The Resilience Fellowship is back for its 5th instalment – this time, recruiting fellows from Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya!
