Applications are now open for the 2025/26 Glenmore Medical Postgraduate Scholarships for African Students to study at the University of Edinburgh
The Glenmore Postgraduate Scholarship
Four scholarships are available for eligible postgraduate programmes offered by the University in the 2025-2026 academic session. The Glenmore Medical Postgraduate scholarship will cover full tuition fees for the duration of the programme of study. The scholarships will be awarded to applicants who are accepted for admission in the 2025-2026 academic year on one of the listed eligible Human Medical programmes. The Glenmore Medical Postgraduate Scholarship would particularly welcome applications from students from Africa.
Eligibility
- Applicants should already have been offered a place at the University of Edinburgh and should have firmly accepted that offer or be intending to do so. Preference will be given to those who have an unconditional offer at time of the scholarship application deadline.
- Applicants are encouraged to complete their application including all required supporting documentation early, in order to facilitate their application being fully processed by the Admissions department ahead of the scholarship application deadline.
- It is envisioned that successful applicants, on completion of their studies, will continue to work in countries that will benefit most from their furthered medical education. Priority will be given to those who have not had the opportunity to study at Masters level previously.
- Applicants must be currently domiciled in one of the eligible countries listed below and as derived from the DAC List of ODA Recipients 2025-2026. Please note the eligible countries are not a 1:1 match to the full DAC list. Rather, the DAC list has been used as an information source to help define the set of eligible countries. Domiciles not included in the list below unfortunately are not eligible for the Scholarship.
